I was born and raised in Vancouver and now call Burnaby my home, located in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Animals have always been a very important part of my life and I've always enjoyed drawing and taking pictures of them. My interest in painting wasn’t sparked until I happened upon a book on the art of rock painting that opened up a magical world for me.
I was immediately hooked on the thrill of transforming rocks into animals. Much gratitude to Lin Wellford for sharing her skills and teaching others. It changed my life. Soon I was painting portraits of my friends' and coworker's pets and it just grew from there.
I was featured in Pet Lovers Magazine and have sold miniature animal rocks in craft fairs, a boutique art gallery and also a small shop in Granville Island known as the “Caboose”.
I eventually expanded to do canvas paintings and now nearly 25 years later I still love it and find it especially satisfying to paint the image of a treasured cat or dog for a memorial or keepsake and I hope to paint many more for years to come.
